Even though entering their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne side that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched against a largely rotated Palace lineup. The visitors were further weakened by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg injuries.
Control Asserted from the Outset
Despite heavy rain in Dublin, Palace quickly took control. A flowing move in the 11th minute, sparked by Daichi Kamada's clever pass, let Nketiah to lay on Uche for a straightforward finish.
Midfielder Adam Wharton went close minutes later, fizzing a long-range effort over the bar. Nketiah subsequently appealed for a penalty after bursting into the box, but the referee waved away the protests.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
